WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Palm Beach businessman Jeffrey Saull, founder of Families for Lower Property Taxes, is launching a radio and TV ad campaign that begins Tuesday blitzing networks statewide about his efforts to place a property tax relief amendment on the November ballot.
Saull's proposal increases the Homestead Exemption from $25,000 to $50,000. That would mean over $500 in property tax savings each year for every Florida homeowner with a homesteaded residence. Saull needs 488,722 signatures to bring this issue before Florida voters in November.
Saull will spend $750,000 promoting his tax relief amendment and gathering petitions by the end of March. "I am committed to making property tax relief a reality in Florida and will invest as much as needed to help Florida's families," Saull said.
Since forming Families for Lower Property Taxes in December, Saull has collected thousands of petitions through his website: www.mypropertytaxcut.com.
Saull says he started this campaign for his mom and millions of other property owners like her who he believes need a tax break. "The thousands of deserving Floridians -- seniors, working families and our servicemen and women -- who will benefit from this property tax cut are taking notice, coming forward, and signing up," Saull said.
