BOCA RATON, FL.—In the year it celebrated its 25th Anniversary, The TransMedia Group of Boca Raton also reported a revenue surge in 2006 to $1.4 million due in large part to a strong economy and the firm’s focus on innovative and newsworthy clients.

Other major clients of the firm are The Elephant Group, one of the fastest growing marketing companies in America; Frownies, America’s First Anti-aging Company, and PRC, a leading call center serving Fortune 100 clients," says TransMedia Founder Tom Madden.

He sees South Florida as a location with rising opportunities in PR, citing the state's tendency toward boundless optimism and innovation as significant assets. "I find the [business] climate extremely encouraging," he says.

Healthcare has also been an important niche for the agency. The firm's reputation from its highly successful product campaigns for Rexall Sundown has brought it additional healthcare clients from both inside and outside Florida. Madden’s firm has performed for Viragen, a biotech firm based near Fort Lauderdale, for whom it has arranged news conferences in Scotland and New York, Boehringer-Engelheim, a major pharmaceutical company and on the lighter side, the World Famous Laugh Factory comedy club in Manhattan.

Other clients for whom TransMedia has scored knockout publicity include The Palm Beach International Film Festival, Fitness Hall of Famer John Abdo, the destructible email service, Kablooeymail.com, The British Swim School, real estate developer T-Rex, commercial real estate titan Trammell Crow and the South African Private Game Reserve Kwandwe.
