Protectus Medical Devices Hires Award Winning Public Relations Firm, TransMedia Group, to Attract Media Attention for the Protectus Safety Syringe

("Protectus Medical Devices") (OTCQB: PTMD), a developer and marketer of innovative medical devices, announced today that the Company has retained the services of award-winning public relations firm TransMedia Group (www.transmediagroup.com) as its national and international PR firm of record.
TransMedia Group's focus will be to garner publicity for the Protectus Safety Syringe. JP Hervis, Director of Public Relations at TransMedia (www.transmediagroup.com), said the firm, who has a stellar track record in promoting healthcare innovations, will present the Protectus Automatic Sheathing Hypodermic Syringe as the "gold standard for hypodermic safety syringes."
The Protectus Safety Syringe is the only fully automatic, self-sheathing safety hypodermic syringe that currently meets all U.S. Federal Government and OSHA mandates designed to protect both healthcare workers and patients alike. It is designed to significantly reduce or eliminate accidental needlestick injuries that have plagued the healthcare workplace for decades. According to Hervis, TransMedia's PR campaign will present the Protectus Automatic Safety Syringe as the only one designed to meet all aspects of "Self-Sheathing" mandated by Federal Law passed to protect healthcare workers who are often pricked, scraped or injected by a needle before or after it has been injected and withdrawn from patients and therefore potentially carrying infectious blood-borne microorganisms.
