'Fine Foods From Israel Expo' To Highlight Products Of 30 Israeli Companies Thursday In Aventura, From Golan Heights Winery Vintages To Treats From Angel Bakeries Jerusalem AVENTURA, FL., October 21, 2003 -- The Consulate General of Israel in Florida and officials of The Israel Economic Mission will host the Florida Premiere of "Fine Foods From Israel Expo" featuring the products of some 30 Israeli food companies from 6 PM to 9 PM Thursday, Oct. 23, at Porto Vita in Aventura. "This will be one of the most sumptuous and memorable displays of fine Israeli food ever to be assembled at one time in Florida," said Bruria Angel, Director of US/Israel Public Relations at TransMedia Group, which is producing the event for the Government of Israel. "More and more, mainstream supermarket buyers and managers are realizing that kosher foods are no longer just for Jewish people anymore. They're making more room on their shelves for kosher products to satisfy customers who are looking for kosher foods either for health reasons or because they have food allergies, or are vegetarians," said Angel. More than 150 representatives of food sellers, wholesalers and distributors from throughout Florida and the U.S., will join with U.S. and Israeli government officials and dignitaries at this first annual event showcasing the finest foods and wines from Israel, from the Golan Heights Winery -Yarden Inc. to Angel Bakeries Jerusalem.
