It was the first time that the world-class tournament which opened December 4, was held outside of its traditional hotel environment and under the thirty-foot high ceilings of Seville, Delray Beach's classy billiard hall and restaurant. It concluded yesterday with the finals and the Awards dinner banquet which followed at Seville's.
Welcoming the decision by The United Pool Players Association, Seville owner Joe DiLeo said, "It was an honor to be chosen to host this extraordinary tournament and its incredible players. Our customers can look forward to seeing many more of these memorable events at Seville."
In addition to its 21 classic pool tables and Tiffany lamps, Seville, 600 N. Congress Ave. Suite 300-A. is proud of another stake in history. Its main bar is the original from the well-known Churchill's pub in London which Dileo purchased and installed earlier this year. And with 35 television screens, including two large screen TVs in a living room setting, sport fans follow their teams in comfort, while selecting from a full menu that includes steaks and seafood and tapas.
