DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- It's the largest town in Southern Spain, the city of Carmen, Don Juan and Figaro, and now in honor of its new tapas menu, the sports bar and grill formerly known as Shootersville is taking the name Seville.

"It's something we've been planning to introduce for some time," said Seville's owner Joe Dileo. "I wanted to introduce to South Florida some of the great casual dining experiences we've enjoyed when we've visited the South of Spain.

"The city of Seville is credited with the invention of tapas and has more than a thousand bars where the choice of food is virtually unlimited, from seafood to ham and sausage, from vegetable to cheese," Dileo said. "The Sevillians actually make a meal of them, moving from bar to bar and trying one dish at a time," he added.

Dileo says he's eager to get back to the core business on which his sports bar and grill thrives. He promises an atmosphere of civility at the new Seville. "We tried to counter the downturn in the restaurant industry post 9/11 by introducing a hip hop club two nights a week, but we're ready now to get back to the original love of our customers -- the best pool tables in town and an establishment dedicated solely to enjoyment of a good meal and the best sports available."

As part of preparations to host the Super Bowl of pool competitions next month, the sports bar and grill closed its doors November 18 and reopens on November 30 as "Seville." More than one hundred of the world's top pool players will gather under its tiffany lamps from December 4 - 8, in the Predator UPA Pro Tour Championship 2002.

"We're really looking forward to this event which also benefit the Boys & Girls Club of America," Dileo said. "And in addition to classic pool tournaments like this, our 35 television screens, including two large screen TVs in a living room setting, provide an ideal setting for sport fans to follow their teams in comfort, while selecting from a full menu that includes steaks and seafood and now some of best tapas in South Florida," he added.
