Accomplished Jazz & Swing Violinist Jaimy Lynn Adds Music to TransMedia Group's Client Roster

PR Newswire -- November 4, 2002

BOCA RATON, FL., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TransMedia Group is rosining up to play publicist and theatrical agent for accomplished jazz and swing violinist Jaimy Lynn.

Besides doing publicity for the internationally known artist who accompanied Barbara Streisand at the London taping of Norman Lear's "I Love America," TransMedia's talent department, headed by Adrienne Mazzone, Vice President of Arts & Entertainment, will book the violinist and her ensemble for concert tours and theatrical events.

"It's long been our wish to represent an accomplished violinist," said TransMedia chairman Thomas J. Madden, whose father, William Madden, was a celebrated concert violinist who performed for royalty, played with the Boston Pops Orchestra, and was concertmaster with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra.

"Jaimy's career already has hit plenty of high notes," Mazzone said. "They include her having performed for Presidents Ford and Carter, the Duke of Earl and the Queen of England. Jaimy's eclectic repertoire encompasses classical, jazz, swing, funk and R&B," said Mazzone.

At the age of 10, Jaimy Lynn began playing in The Youngstown Philharmonic Jr. Orchestra -- their youngest member. Motivated to be a musician at this young age, Jaimy bartered with her violin instructor and provided babysitting services in return for receiving private violin lessons ... and so began her musical journey. After graduating from high school, Jaimy auditioned for the U.S. Air Force Band and was accepted at Wright Patt Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She later auditioned and was accepted for the Strolling Strings, the president's string ensemble -- only to decline the appointment when an assignment in East Germany arose.

In Europe, Jaimy toured with the Glenn Miller Band and she performed as the feature violinist and chimed in with her vocal talents as well with five- part swinging harmonies and her bassoon. She also studied privately with Michael Schwalbe, concertmaster of The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Other accomplishments include having accompanied the Jive Five, Soupy Sales, Bob Barker, Lenny CoCo and the Chimes, and countless other 50s artists. She has performed at The Apollo, Radio City Music Hall, Indianapolis 500 Annual Queen's Ball, Westbury Music Hall, Buckingham Palace, country clubs, major hotels and nearly all of the prominent concert halls and cathedrals throughout Europe and the United States.
