New Chamber Formed to Offer Opportunities for Small- and Medium Sized
Companies to Grow and Expand Global Markets

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 6/PRNewswire/ -- South Florida has a new,
more abroad-minded chamber of commerce. It's called The Chamber of Business
Development whose focus will be to help South Florida businesses expand
their
global markets.
"While just about every community has a chamber of commerce, we're
thinking more globally as our specialty is promoting international
business,"
said CBD President Al Otero.
The CBD was formed to create programs and tools for small- and medium-
sized businesses in South Florida to be more successful in developing larger
local and global markets. Through partnerships with other chambers,
Enterprise Florida, U.S. Commerce Department, Broward County, The Greater
Ft.
Lauderdale Visitors and Convention Bureau, Sister Cities International, The
World Trade Center Ft. Lauderdale and others, the Chamber will offer
businesses in the US and abroad, opportunities to reach global markets.

organization with a local presence and a global focus. The Chamber is
developing strategic partnerships with business organizations and chambers
of
commerce around the world to develop information and programs to maximize

long-term success of small- and medium-sized companies and increase
