Avaltus Inc., Is Contracted By The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) To Create A Web-Based Learning Solution

DENVER, April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Avaltus, a global provider of eLearning software and services, today announced a deal with the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to update its computer-based training CD-ROMs to Avaltus' highly advanced Web-based training solution. Avaltus has provided critical distance learning support for over four years to DeCA's 17,000 employees located in over 280 different commissaries around the world.

By converting DeCA's CD-ROMs to Avaltus' Web-based training technology, the costs associated with the maintenance of these training programs will be greatly reduced. Avaltus' Web-based learning program will also provide greater flexibility for employees and will allow management to track the training progress of each employee, which has not been done previously.

Avaltus will convert ten supermarket courses from CD-ROM to Web-based, including: Cashier Skills; Produce Identification; Grocery Clerk Skills; Produce Clerk Skills; Storewide Customer Service; Sanitation and Food Safety; Harassment Free Workplace; Management Development I; Management Development II; Direct Store Delivery.
