U.S. Polo Association Properties Retains TransMedia To Publicize First U.S. Polo Assn 'Open' In Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Polo Association Properties has retained the TransMedia Group to publicize the 2002 U.S. Open -the most prestigious polo tournament in the country and the first ever in Boca Raton.

"The 2002 U.S. Polo Association Open Championships is the Super Bowl of polo and this is the fist time in the tournament's 98-year history that it has attracted so many teams of world class players," said TransMedia President Mark Hopkinson.

A total of 15 teams, including some of the world's top polo players are competing over the next twoweeks, culminating in the April 14 finals on the Grandstand Field at the Royal Palm Polo Sports Club.

Also in the publicity spotlight will be a celebrity fashion show also at Royal Palm Polo Sports Club sponsored by U.S. Polo Association Properties to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The fashion show on Sunday, April 14 will feature the world's top polo players who will model sportswear and casual wear bearing the U.S. Polo Association label.
