BOCA RATON, FL, February 27, 2002—Palm Beach County’s largest PR firm, the Transmedia Group, today named Michelle Soudry to a new position of Fashion Account Executive. She will set the firm’s style in stone literally, assisting with TransMedia’s newest fashion client, Haifa Inc., exclusive importers of “The World’s Most Exceptional Stone”—limestone that is from Israel and France.
“Michelle’s fashion background and her personal flair and keen eye for style will help us to better serve clients involved in the fashion, jewelry and fragrance industry, and I hope Ron Perelman is reading this,” said TransMedia’s founder Thomas J. Madden, a former Vice President of NBC and author of SPIN MAN, a book about the public relations business.
A native New Yorker who relocated to Boca Raton, Florida after 9/11, Ms. Soudry worked as an account executive at Harriet Weintraub and Partners in New York City after graduation from the Fashion Institute of Design. At the Weintraub agency, she worked on such accounts as Burberry of London, Eres Lingerie and Swimwear, Charles Worthington Haircare and Guerlain Beauty and Fragrance. In 2000, Ms. Soudry served as a on-camera spokeswoman for the Michael Awards, an annual New York fashion benefit also referred to as “The Oscars of Fashion” where she interviewed various celebrities including Matt Lauer, Shiva Rose, Susan Lucci, designer Betsy Johnson, Morgan Fairchild, designer Mary McFadden and model of the year Carmen Kass.
At TransMedia, Ms. Soudry will assist with a publicity campaign seeking to position limestone as this season’s hottest home décor classic. Fluent in Hebrew and French, Ms. Soudry will also assist with the firms expanding sector of Middle Eastern and European clients interested in increasing exposure to the U.S. market.
TransMedia represents clients worldwide and has a publishing and Internet marketing division. The firm’s revenue growth has made it one of the second-fastest growing independent PR firm in the US. TransMedia has won numerous awards and recognitions for its national publicity campaigns, including a Bronze Anvil from the Public Relations Society of America for a public service campaign it conducted for The City of New York.
