Ikonisys Inc. Retains TransMedia Group to Publicize Biotech
Company's Ushering in New Age of Medical Diagnostics

PR Newswire -- February 11, 2002

BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Group plans to invite local doctors to the Boca Raton Club & Resort and Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six March 20-21 to give one of its new clients a checkup under a microscope.

The client is Ikonisys, Inc., a biomedical technology company at the forefront of cell-based diagnostics. It has retained TransMedia to publicize and increase medical understanding and investor awareness in its high-speed, fully automated digital microscope.

Ikonisys created the Ikoniscope(TM) microscope as part of a new medical diagnostic system that identifies and analyzes rare cells that signal genetic abnormalities, cancer and other diseases long before, at a lower cost and non-invasively than current diagnostic methods.

"Ikonisys is taking medical diagnostics to a new level of sophistication, accuracy and speed," said TransMedia Chairman Tom Madden. "Since they have the potential to significantly impact this industry, investors and the medical community need to know about this new technology." Ikonisys will demonstrate its technology at the Boca Raton Club & Resort and the Hyatt Regency. Area doctors will get a first-hand look of the Ikonisys platform that uses the automated Ikoniscope(TM) and biological signal generation to identify specific target cells and their biological condition.

"We're developing the new technology of rare cell diagnostics," said Dr. Petros Tsipouras, Chairman and CEO of Ikonisys. "The Ikoniscope(TM) is central to this system. All steps including selecting and identifying sample slides, focusing and taking images and detecting and analyzing the target cells are performed automatically."

Since 1999, Ikonisys and its distinguished team of geneticists, biologists, immunologists and engineers has been working on its patented system that could provide a new diagnostic test for Down Syndrome.
