Haifa, Inc. Presents 'The Limestones of
the Rich and Famous' At DCOTA's Glamour of Design

PR Newswire -- January 14, 2002

DANIA BEACH, Fla., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/
There's a sound emanating from homes across the country -- a blasting noise as jackhammers rip away the passe look of marble floorings, countertops, and fireplaces, making way for the new "Stone Age." Limestone is the look coveted by the rich and famous, and home, after celebrity home, is being redone with Haifa's exquisite selection of the hardest, least porous and most elegant French and Jerusalem limestone.

A few of the famous who have turned to Haifa for the rich character and warm ambiance their exclusive limestones offer include Celine Dion, Peter Jennings, Bob and Elizabeth Dole, Sophia Loren, Tom Clancy, Nasdaq president Frank Zarb, Donald Trump and others. Haifa has also been selected to supply both Jerusalem and Corton limestone for the kitchen restoration of the Blair House, Washington's guest quarters for the President.

To fulfill the requests for more information about the Haifa aesthetic, the showroom will be holding a special event in conjunction with the Glamour of Design at the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA), on Friday, January 18 beginning at 1 p.m. Trade and press will have the opportunity to view the exquisitely designed showroom and learn about the Haifa process, which provides its limestone with the look of antiquity, something no other company has been able to duplicate. Haifa President Desmond Keogh will be available for interviews and holding special presentations while guests enjoy a special wine tasting of Corton Grand Cru. This rich wine originating in Burgundy, France rests above the quarry where the Corton limestone is derived.

"I wanted to make this an extra special occasion," said Keogh. "This is a celebration of our success and introduction of Haifa to an even wider audience."

In addition, internationally acclaimed interior designer, Clodagh, will be signing copies of her latest book "Total Design," featuring photos of her work in Robert Redford's Manhattan apartment.

Haifa has showrooms in Astoria, NY, Manhattan at East 57th street; Washington, D.C., at the Washington Design Center; Palm Beach at Lake Worth and at the DCOTA in Dania Beach. For more information log on to www.haifainc.com.
