CHAMBER OF COMMERCE APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT

Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 5, 2001 - The South Florida
Chamber of Commerce today announced that Al Otero has been
named President of the South Florida Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber also named David M. Newcomb VP for Palm Beach
County.
"The strength of our new management team, headed by Otero
and Newcomb, represents our commitment to promote the interests
of the business community," said Lawrence Zolnowski, CEO of
the South Florida Chamber of Commerce.
Otero, with an extensive background in chamber of commerce
operations, sales and management, also founded the American
Chamber of Christians in Business where he is currently the
national director. Otero, in this capacity, will work to form
strategic alliances with other chambers, businesses and organizations.
Newcomb also has vast experience in chamber of commerce operations.
He served as Director of Membership & Advertising Sales for
the Ft. Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce, and as Manager of
Business Development for the Northern Palm Beaches Chamber
of Commerce. Newcomb will promote and market the chamber to
businesses in Palm Beach County.
The South Florida Chamber's network of support services assists
in promoting partnerships between businesses. This organization
offers its members a number of services including: education
and improvement of businesses, detailed work programs designed
for each member's needs, money-saving services and benefits.
In order to meet the unique needs of each of its members,
the South Florida Chamber of Commerce first develops a comprehensive
program of work designed to help each member reach their target
audience and maximize their efforts. Once this has been accomplished
the South Florida Chamber of Commerce offers a continuous
program to maintain a successful business and keep building
relationships.
Some of the current member benefits include conventional
benefits, business improvement seminars, trade shows, member-to-member

networking and marketing opportunities with regional and international
