BOCA RATON, FL. January 8, 2001-After the largest merger in e-mail marketing history, it was announced that Michael Brauser would become CEO and President of Naviant. The recent merger of Naviant and eDirect compiled the databases of the two giant e-mail pioneers into a mega-base of unprecedented proportions, comprising more than 60 million consumer profiles.
As the Chief Executive Officer and President of Naviant, Brauser is responsible for leading the management team and providing the strategic direction for the company's growth. Prior to the merger of Naviant and eDirect, Mr. Brauser was President, CEO and founder of eDirect, Inc., a 100% owned subsidiary of Seisint, Inc.
"At eDirect, Michael Brauser applied his incredible entrepreneurial and management skills to create the industry leader in permission-based, e-mail marketing," said Dr. Charles Stryker, Chairman of Naviant. "There is no-one in the Internet marketing world with the astonishing expertise of Michael Brauser and that gives me great confidence that we will continue to expand Naviant as the world's e-mail marketing powerhouse."
Brauser joined Sesint in November 1999 and served on its Board of Directors with distinction. From 1997-1999, Brauser founded and built a number of highly successful business ventures, including Brauser Enterprises, a commercial real estate management and development company, Telecom South, an independent telephone hardware company, and National Security Systems, a South Florida alarm company.
Prior to Brauser Enterprises, Brauser was President of the Kertz Security Division of Republic Industries, one of the largest independent security alarm companies in United States. During his tenure at Kertz Security, he played an integral role as a member of Republic's executive team in the company's aggressive development and acquisition program, resulting in the sale of Republic Industries to Ameritech for over $600 million in 1997.
Brauser currently serves on the Admiralty Bank Advisory Council, Telecom South Board of Directors, National Alarm Board of Directors, and the AT&T Consumer Advisory Board. Brauser holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
Naviant is a leading provider of integrated precision marketing tools for online and offline environments, enabling marketers to identify, target, reach and build relationships with consumers. The merger consolidates the operations divisions of the two companies into 150 employees, most of who will occupy Naviant's new headquarters at 999 Yamato Rd., in Boca Raton with the remainder working out of Naviant's New York City offices.
