Fort Lauderdale, FL, October 18, 2000 -- The South
Florida Chamber of Commerce has retained The TransMedia Group
for public relations to assist it in building memberships
and promoting partnerships between businesses.
"We're proud to have been selected to provide public relations
services to this organization that is working to further the
commercial reach of local businesses," said Mark Hopkinson,
President of TransMedia. "The South Florida Chamber of Commerce
is forming strategic alliances with other chambers in the
tri-county area, maximizing opportunities for its members."
By providing networking opportunities and increasing exposure,
the South Florida Chamber of Commerce helps businesses and
organizations develop stronger ties with one another at local,
national and international levels. "Our goal is to help each
and every member develop a program tailored to their needs
that will empower their business and promote economic growth,"
said Al Otero, Executive Director of the South Florida Chamber
of Commerce.
As part of an on-going program to develop unique venues for
its members, the South Florida Chamber of Commerce is forming
alliances with other chambers and organizations, or what they
call "sister chambers." "We want to position ourselves as
an innovative resource for the business community and forming
alliances with other chambers is something that's never been
done before. This will provide new and different opportunities
for our members."
The South Florida Chamber of Commerce promotes, supports
and develops the interest of the business community. Its mission
is to enable a favorable climate for cooperative partnerships
between local, national and international organizations.
