ITHACA, NY, September 11, 2000 -Is there a hospitality
lawyer in the house? If you're in Ithaca, New York, you'll
have no trouble trying to find one this weekend on the campus
of Cornell University.
This week lawyers and executives throughout the hospitality
industry will be packing their bags, gathering their pads
and pencils and traveling to attend the Bickel & Brewer Legal
Strategy Conference, the only hotel law conference in the
country sponsored by a major hotel school.
The conference is where lodging industry executives and their
counsel brush up each year on the twists and turns in E-Commerce
and Internet law, the deal environment brewing for mega hotel
mergers and IPOs and other hot legal issues swirling around
the hospitality industry. Among the principal speakers are
hospitality industry VIP's, G.C.'s, industry consultants and
outside counsel.
This year, the law firm of Bickel & Brewer has moved its
annual conference to Ithaca where its' co-host will be The
School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. The
prestigious Cornell campus is an ideal venue for Bickel &
Brewer's annual Legal Strategy Conference.
Bickel & Brewer is widely known in the hospitality industry
for successfully handling cases that have literally redefined
the industries' legal landscape. The conference has become
one of the most important hospitality industry events of the
year.
"We're honored to join with Cornell this year in making possible
this extraordinary opportunity for hospitality industry executives
and corporate counsel to exchange ideas regarding the legal
issues affecting their industry globally," said William A.
Brewer III.
According to Thomas J. Kline, Director of Executive Education
at Cornell, The Fourth Annual Legal Strategy Conference presented
by The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University
and Bickel & Brewer will illumine strategic legal issues involving

industry executives and counsel who will offer a broad range
of panel discussion sessions.
