Haifa Inc. Retains TransMedia Group to 'Romance' Its Stone From France & Israel

PR Newswire -- December 31, 2001

BOCA RATON, Fla., and MIAMI, Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/
Haifa, Inc. has retained TransMedia Group to "romance the stone" that Haifa imports from France, Italy and Israel. TransMedia will conduct a national publicity program to highlight the unique beauty of Jerusalem Stone and Haifa's newest import, French Corton limestone as well as the rich history behind these extraordinary products. The program will target interior designers, architects and builders.

"Our goal is to acquaint the world's top designers and architects with exclusive limestone products Haifa imports from Israel, Italy, and now from the famous Corton wine region in France," said TransMedia Vice President Bruria Angel.

With striking showrooms in Florida, Manhattan and Washington, D.C., Haifa's diverse collection of exclusive limestone has broken new ground in political and celebrity circles around the world. The most famous doors in the world, Washington's guest quarters for the President, The Blair House, boasts Haifa's Jerusalem and French Corton stone in its stunning new kitchen, Ms. Angel said. Donald Trump chose Haifa's extensive product line to feature in his Mar-a-lago Spa. Sophia Loren also fell in love with Haifa's product line along with author Tom Clancy, who enjoys Haifa's stone in his Baltimore home, Ms. Angel said.

With historical significance dating to biblical times, Haifa's Jerusalem Stone reins popular with even the most discriminating antique lover. Its newest product, Corton limestone, has a namesake that dates to 12th century France, where the stone was fixed in the finest vineyards to create the ideal conditions for the Grand Cru -- fine concentrated and rich wine that ranks at the top of the wine hierarchy. According to Desmond Keogh, president of Haifa, Inc., "It's amazing to think that throughout all these years the one lasting reminder we have from so many different ancient civilizations is in essence the stone itself."

The Haifa limestone collection is on view at showrooms in Dania Beach at the Design Center of the Americas, Palm Beach at Lake Worth, Florida, Manhattan, New York at East 58th street, and Washington, DC at the Washington Design Center. Each of Haifa's uniquely designed showrooms feature Haifa's trademark aesthetic -- true antiquity achieved through the rigid application of patented techniques that deliver textual and visually authentic results.
