My Coupster Texts TransMedia Group: 'You'll Do Our PR'

TransMedia Group said it has received the following text message from My Coupster (www.MyCoupster.com), South Florida's premiere company that texts money-saving coupons direct to cell phones in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach county: "You'll do our PR."
"Hey that's terrific because we're accustomed to representing category leaders and certainly MyCoupster.com fits that bill here in South Florida," said TransMedia Group's CEO Tom Madden.
Every day MyCoupster.com texts thousands of discount coupons redeemable by just showing the coupon of your choice right on your cell phone as you enter fine restaurants like Legal Sea Foods or your coupon-friendly neighborhood dry cleaner, Madden said.
TransMedia plans to publicize how easy it is to dial an 800 number to receive an instant money-saving discount at any one of hundreds of businesses participating in the Coupster program. Businesses can update their coupons daily or hourly if they want, which makes this a unique service unlike any other text messaging, he added.
Other features to be promoted are the value-added benefit of companies involving their employees in the myriad of money-saving offers that couldn't come at a better time for most consumers in the current economy, according to Adrienne Mazzone, Director of Mobile Marketing at TransMedia.
"We're going to underscore the fact that many consumers might clip a coupon from a magazine, but forget to bring it with them, yet nobody leaves home without their phone anymore," she said.
"We're glad to text that message to TransMedia that they'll be our PR firm as we've seen how effective they are at promoting innovative technology and their first client back in 1981 was AT&T when it was just introducing cell phones," said Cary Schiffres, President of MyCoupster.com.
TransMedia also has been remarkably good at reaching not only consumers with their publicity, but the business community as Coupster represents immediate value for businesses who can tap right into a large and mobile customer base that has opted into this excellent program offering savings through discounts at all kinds of businesses.
The customer then shows the discount on his or her cell phone upon entering the business and everyone wins, the customers who receives a discount wins by saving money; the business wins by getting a customer and the company wins for generously providing this value-added savings benefit to its employees.
