Makeda McLune responsibilities include media relations and selling sponsorships for the firm’s not-for-profit clients, including The Palm Beach International Film Festival.

Makeda McLune’s expertise stems from many years spent in the entertainment industry as a Marketing Representative for Vibes 101.9 FM in Miramar, FL and as Executive Director of Independent Label, Luke Records & Films. She has also excelled at event planning and sponsorship solicitation and will bring an urban cultural diversity and Hip Hop savvy to TransMedia.

Makeda has a certain hip quality that the firm has been looking for to enliven its publicity and sponsorship sales for its entertainment clients. Makeda has strong ties with former associates in the entertainment industry.

TransMedia’s first plan of business with her onboard is to welcome the urban community’s involvement in next year’s Palm Beach International Film Festival. Makeda will invite key players and entertainers in the urban community to participate in the Film Festival in April next year when South Africa will be one of the countries to be showcased. The Festival is currently looking for South African and African American directors, film stars and talent to make a huge impact at the upcoming festival.
