The Grand Opening
of Kerzen's first store in the U.S. may be an early sign of what's in store
for South Florida from the free trade pact with Peru recently approved by
the U.S. House of Representatives.
Boca Raton Mayor Steven L. Abrams will welcome the retailer in Spanish
at ribbon cutting set for 5 PM Friday at the Mizner Park store. Boca
Chamber of Commerce President Troy McLellan also will officiate at grand
opening ceremonies.
Kerzen plans to educate consumers about the vast difference in quality
between the highest-grade paraffin from Germany used in Kerzen's candles as
opposed to lower quality paraffin found in cheaper-grade candles from China
and Egypt. "When candles burn, you need to know what you're inhaling, as
there could be many impurities dispersed into the air you breathe," said
Paul Luna, Executive Director of Kerzen.
"We're honored to open our first store in the U.S. at this propitious
time when the U.S. Congress is about to enact a free trade pact with Peru,
which we expect to have enormously positive consequences for both
countries," said Favian Luna, President of Kerzen.
