22nd Israel Film Festival to Honor Christian Leaders in Miami

The Israel Film Festival said today
that it will recognize two leading members of the Christian community in
South Florida for their unwavering support of Israel. Each will receive the
Festival's prestigious Humanitarian Award on April 25, prior to the Opening
Night Screening of Shemi Zarhin's award-winning film, Aviva My Love at
Sunrise Cinemas Intracoastal 8 Theater in North Miami Beach at 7:30 PM. A
Gala Reception will follow at Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort in
Sunny Isles Beach.
The two honorees are Dr. Dino Pedrone, Senior pastor of The New
Testament Baptist Church in Miami and Jack Heintz, former trustee of the
church and founder and president of Peace For Israel and director of Beth
Shalom Ministry at the New Testament Baptist Church.
The Humanitarian Awards will be presented by the Consul General of
Israel to Florida, Dr. Yitschak Ben-Gad.
"We are honored to recognize the support and contributions that both of
these Christian leaders have made to the people of Israel, including
conducting numerous tours to Israel, which they have made into a holy
"Gathering Place" for Christians," said Meir Fenigstein, founder and
director of the Israel Film Festival.
Dr. Pedrone, originally from New York, has served as Senior Pastor of
New Testament Baptist Church since 1995. Since moving to Florida, he has
resided as President of Dade Christian School, President of the Master's
Academy as well as President of the Florida Association of Christian
Colleges and Schools, which bears over 70,000 members.
